Your Insight

Living with an illness is more than just dealing with a diagnosis and a medication regimen. Often the diagnosis comes with various lifestyle changes including diet, mobility, weight loss or gain, unending doctor appointments, and other factors that may impact patients emotionally, physically and/or financially.

We would like to use this space as a place for those afflicted with diseases and those who care for them to share experiences.  Living with a disease or caring for a loved one with a disease may not be fully understood by all and the submission below allows you an opportunity to educate others.  Michigan Blood Collection will work to bridge that gap for greater understanding. If you would prefer anonymity please indicate so at the end of the submission. No comment will post until a naming preference is selected and the submit key selected.

Thank you for sharing your insights with Michigan Blood Collection and its community.

“I initially learned I had Covid-19 when I lost all sense of smell and taste. Even after six months certain food items do not smell normal - especially coffee, chocolate, and onions.”
